We are pleased to announce that Assoc. Prof. Maciej Skowron, a faculty member of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and a member of the Electric Drive, Power Electronics and E-Mobility Group, has obtained his habilitation degree in the field of engineering and technical sciences. Assoc. Prof. Maciej Skowron is employed at the Department of Electrical Machines, Drives and Measurements. His research focuses on the diagnostics of electrical machines and drives, as well as on the application of artificial intelligence methods – including deep learning and transfer learning – in engineering.

He serves as the Head of the E-Mobility Laboratory, is a member of the Programme Committee for the E-Mobility degree programme, and an Associate Editor of the journal Power Electronics and Drives. From 2023 to 2025, he was a member of the Academia Iuvenum. He participates in numerous national and international research projects, including the EU-funded HECATE project and National Science Centre (NCN) grants (PRELUDIUM, OPUS).

As an academic teacher, he supervises doctoral theses, conducts classes at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and actively promotes science among young people.
