We are delighted to announce that Dr. Hab. Eng. Maciej Skowron, leader of ZNEEE, has been appointed to the Academia Professorum Iuniorum for the 2026–2027 term. This prestigious distinction recognizes his outstanding scientific achievements, research dedication, and potential in developing new research directions.

This honor confirms his significant scientific accomplishments and research activity in the fields of automation, electronics, electrical engineering, and space technologies. Prof. Maciej Skowron’s scientific work focuses on modern methods for the diagnostics of machines and electric drives, as well as the use of artificial intelligence—particularly deep learning and transfer learning—in advanced condition analysis of equipment.

Academia Professorum Iuniorum, established in 2023, supports outstanding young researchers from various disciplines and represents one of the university’s key initiatives to promote scientific excellence. Membership in API includes, among other benefits, a two-year internal grant dedicated to developing research teams or pursuing new research topics.
