Scientific Interests:
  • Advanced control techniques for electric drives
  • Sensor fault-tolerant control (current sensors)
  • State variable estimators
  • Parameter estimation of electric motors
  • Luenberger observers
Current Research Goal:
Application of extended and modified Luenberger-type observers to improve stator current estimation in FTC (Fault-Tolerant Control) structures. Research also includes the design of fault detectors and classifiers for current sensors.
Biographical Note:

Michał Adamczyk began his studies in 2013 in Automation and Robotics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He completed his engineering thesis under the supervision of Prof. Teresa Orłowska-Kowalska, focusing on the development of a graphical user interface (GUI) for determining motor parameters and selecting controllers (hysteresis, linear, or fuzzy logic-based).

He continued his master's studies in the same field. His thesis focused on compensating for current sensor faults in vector-controlled induction motor drives, also supervised by Prof. Teresa Orłowska-Kowalska.

On March 14, 2024—World Pi Day—he defended with distinction his doctoral dissertation titled: Vector control tolerant to current sensor faults in induction motor drive systems – detection, localization, and fault compensation. Prof. Teresa Orłowska-Kowalska was his supervisor throughout his academic journey.
